An edge tool used to cut and shape wood 

A carpenter's or cooper's tool, formed with a thin arching
blade set at right angles to the handle. It is used for
chipping or slicing away the surface of wood.

8" handle length gives you just enough space for one or both hands.

Curved is 2 1/2" wide blade with heavy curve... Some woodworkers call this a "bowl adze".

Comes surprisingly sharp. With leather sheath.

• The flat lip adze is used primarily for hewing large amount of wood. Available in two widths...85mm and 95mm
• The curved lip adze is for hollowing out chair seats or other "hollowing out" tasks, or to give a pronounced adzed effect for decorative purposes...curved lip adze is also known as a gutter (as they were used to make wooden gutters), hollow, or curved adze
